Aegina

These photographs are of the temple of Aphaia. If you visit the temple, you will find a café and souvenir shop opposite the entrance. I urge you not to patronise this establishment. I know for a fact that the proprietors lure birds with food, trap them and put them in very small cages. I am sure, though I cannot prove it, that they use bird lime for this purpose. This is illegal, but the practice is widespread.
